I had the chance on Sunday morning to play a #streetpiano in #troy, but. I had gone out for a walk without a plan or lead sheets or the desire to disturb the neighborhood at 8am, and so I didn’t produce anything I would ordinarily consider worthy of posting, because while I loved the experience it didn’t gel into a nice piece of music, even by my beginning musician standards. But I’ve been thinking about some things thst @marthaeies has been saying about just getting it out there, and — well, since the first time I encountered #streetpianos at the Philly International Festival of the Arts in 2016, I’ve wanted to be the kind of person who could just walk up to a piano sitting around on the sidewalk and make some kind of music on it, and now I am … so, good or not, that deserves posting. Listen, don’t listen, whatever. I’ve made another appointment with this piano for August. #troystreetpianos @organcolossal #troy #troyny #collarcity #albanywasactuallythepianocity.
