He didn’t seem to mind, with his eyes ablaze and his fingers caught up in the bouncing chords of Nina Simone’s ‘My baby just cares for me.’ The melody winded on in a dulcet fashion, as the train arrived, cutting us from him. There are approximately 80 seconds between the moment the train arrives at the station, and the time it pulls away. Izzy, Mikayli and I get on the train and park the bikes, hooking the handle bars onto the rail. A quiet second passes, and then is followed by flapping from the underpass, wet trainers on concrete.   I met Nicolas at Pearse Street Station in #Dublin. He was playing the #stationpiano. Before I knew it, my dad had walked up to him and told him I sang. Without thinking any more of it, Nicolas patted the seat beside him. We didn’t even knew each others names but we knew the same song. We played until the train came in, in the still, dark of the silent train station until the train rattled the walls. We promised to stay in touch. While @irishrail did not fund this project they did provide the platform (literally!!) for which we are very grateful 😊We have genuinely been overwhelmed by how well it has been received... so thank you and please continue to enjoy.
