As some of you know, my wife @renecosby of @renesartmenagerie has been greatly honored by our home city of @oceansideca as she has been asked to paint her style on an upright piano that will be put on display for public use by the City of Oceanside. This was approved by the @osideculturalartsfoundation and is presented by @sixstringsociety The Piano Project via @robertparkerpiano and @kennethrexrode . The unveiling of the piano will be held on Saturday, the 28th at the Sunshine Brooks Theater for a big piano concert featuring some if our most brilliant local piano talents. (Get your tickets now). This is a HUGE undertaking and she was given only one month to complete a project that would otherwise take her about 5 months to complete. Needless to say, she has been painting like a mad woman trying to complete this project by the 27th. She even had to close her massage office for 2 weeks and shelf all other projects & responsibilities to get this done. Here is the completed piano bench... she will show photos of the progress on the piano later this week. The artist must not be bothered at this time. She is spending day and night working on this piano in the garage around my hectic gig schedule. I am so proud of this woman who only came out of the art closet 2 years ago with her first pop up show and now she has completed around 90 original works and sold most of it. She is hoping to sell some of her completed art works to make up for her lost income this month. You can see some of her available pieces on the wall of her studio behind this bench! Please share!! Thank you!! #art #artist #originalart #pianoart #thepianoproject #oceanside #oside #osidelocal #oceansideart #publicart #acrylicart #paintedpiano
