Please welcome the latest piano to grace the streets of the lovely Kenton neighborhood - the incredible #pi༚tapiano by artist @mannylayers We’ll let Manny tell you more about this 𧊌reation ✨ “Pi༚ta Piano celebrates my Mexican, Indigenous and American ancestries by the lifting the majestic eagle and the mountains we all cherish. The pi༚ta painting of Mt. Jefferson represents landed owned by Americans that has long been inhabited by brown people. Indian reservations are on one side of the mountain, while Latinx farm workers live and work on the other. The baby eagle, deeply renowned by all three cultures, is a gentle reminder that we are all on borrowed land. Pi༚ta Piano’s main purpose it to provide joy to the Kenton neighborhood, providing bright new colors and sounds for my neighbors. “ @mannylayers 💛 What an incredible gift we have!
