Call To Artists! This summer, PIANOS IN THE PARKS comes to the Issaquah Highlands and Grand Ridge Plaza — and we are looking for talented local artists to transform the pianos into memorable public works of art to capture the imagination of both visitors and our neighbors. Selected artists will be recognized at the opening ceremony on August 20 and will receive $1,000 in compensation for their work. For more information and the online application go to: https://www.pianosintheparks.org Applications must be submitted by Sunday, July 25th and the selected artists will be announced on Wednesday, July 28th. Artists will have access to a temporary arts studio at Grand Ridge Plaza to complete the transformations. PIANOS IN THE PARKS is a Puget Sound summer tradition that has showcased hundreds of talented local artists. The free event invites piano players from throughout the community with an opportunity to share their musical talent with neighbors and friends. We’ll be placing pianos that have been transformed into public works of art in select parks throughout the Issaquah Highlands and Grand Ridge Plaza from August 20 - 31. We invite piano players, art lovers and the community at large to experience the beauty of Issaquah Highlands, while enjoying the open-to-the-public pianos in the great outdoors. The opening event will feature local pianist Nicholas Chin and musicians from the Chopin Music Academy and will benefit the Nicholas and Angelina Chin Fund for Cancer Research at UW, in memory of their late father. Pianos in the Parks is presented by Issaquah Highlands, Grand Ridge Plaza and Regency Centers. Pianos in the Parks is produced by One Reel and is heavily supported in partnership with Classic Pianos, who has generously donated each and every piano featured during Pianos In The Park’s long history of entertaining the Greater Seattle community. #pianosinthepark #issaquahhighlands #regencycenters #regencycelebrates
