I've been posting about this piano a lot but I realized I never really explained WHAT the piano is all about. So let's start with the organization who started it all! \n\nMusic For Everyone is a Lancaster PA organization that provides resources and experiences in support of music education to transform lives, schools and communities. \n\nEvery summer they host the \"Keys for the City\" event. It's Lancaster City's most impactful interactive, mixed media public art project. The project features custom-designed pianos to be displayed throughout the city at various hot spots and sidewalk locations, accessible to the public 24\/7. \n\nThe objective of Keys for the City is to provide access to musical opportunity, foster creativity and build a sense of community among the public and, in the process, raise resources awareness for local music and visual arts education initiatives. \n\nThis year I was lucky enough to be selected for a piano; and not just any piano, THE Music for Everyone piano! \n\nI worked countless hours to bring my vision to life. Incorporating MFE's branding and mission with requests from the piano donor for the final result. It's a beautiful explosion of color to celebrate music, education, love, and those who can no longer be with us 🌈💖 \n\nI will be posting a full reveal soon once the piano is put out in public. This mural I did for @mfelancaster definitely reminded me of th NYC World Trade center towers. It actually layered photos of the keyboard of an electric piano aligned to look like a skyline.
