    26. Glasgow, voco Grand Central HotelOur next stop in Glasgow was to play the piano in this Queen Anne style hotel constructed by the Caledonian Railway and completed in 1883. Originally called Central Station Hotel it has been renovated in 2020 back to its former glory. Many notable people stayed here in its hey day including: John F Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Winston Churchill, Gene Kelly and Laurel and Hardy. Another interesting fact we found out was that the first long distance TV pictures were transmitted to the hotel on the 24th May 1929 by John Logle Baird. We had to walk through most of the hotel on the way to the piano and we were impressed with the grand staircase and luxurious surroundings. It is definitely the place to stay if you are visiting this city. Thank You to the manager Alan Mcdougal for letting me play.Hope you enjoy "Can't help it" by Stevie Wonder. Please donate to NAS (via link in bio) if you can thanks. #pianotour #piano #freepianos #music #glasgow #voco #vocograndcentral #steviewonder #canthelpit #hotel #hotelpiano #ihg #railwayhotel
