World piano day may be over, but it's never too late to share! This is an antique Blasius & Sons custom carved piano. It is probably the best carved piano in the world. It was made in 1888 to celebrate the birth of Paul Morand, a famous 20th century French author. The building of the piano was commissioned by his father, Eugene Morand, a French playwright and painter. Each exquisitely carved design reveals its own story about music, drama, theater, and literature and each detail is carved into the wood, not glued.
