When the Piano in the Plaza debuts on Sunday, August 1st (tomorrow!) it will include not only include the artistry of Thomasin Dewhurst and her students, it will also include words by the Tri-Valley Writers Club competition award-winners - Including Zaynah Shah 15 (Tri Valley Writers Club member), Amala Rao 18 (2nd place poetry), Ananya Lyengar 16 (3rd place literary non-fiction), Brian Guan 14 (3rd place short story categor, Jessica Bakar 16 (3rd place literary non- fiction), Claire McNerney 18 (1st place winner poetry) and Michelle Liu 16 (honorable mention non-fiction writing). Their words fill the lid of the baby grand piano, interwoven with the painted American Beauty Roses that vine across the top of the piano. Check out the photos to see a few preview glimpses and be sure to check out the final piano on display starting August 1st at 3 pm though August 8th, only at Persimmon Place.
