As of this writing, house is open to the public 1-4pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays (but check the City of Mountain View website). I asked the volunteer if I could play on the upright and it's 100% fine..

The volunteer staff at Rengstorff House told us that the piano is not available for public use. The cover is locked down over the keys.
