I painted this piano for Jen and Shane in Buttercup to brighten up the space and breathe new life into their faithful old friend. Sanding is messy and the dust is hard to wrangle indoors, so brushing over the laminate with a bonding primer was a great alternative. Without it, the paint can't adhere and would've rubbed right off. I applied three coats before it covered well enough to begin painting. I opted for chalk paint (not the same as chalkboard paint) and six coats later, it was ready for clear varnish to seal the deal!
