It was nice to go the the @queensfarm in the evening when it was empty as we’re usually there with the masses at a festival and then it doesnt feel like farm. #nycsanitation hosted a really nice #communitydinner at #queensfarm where we got to eat delicious catered #italianfood and learn about #urbancomposting. Being that they are very conscious about waste they even had containers so that we could take food home. Some sheeps, cows, chickens, and goats were out and about. The farm also currently has a #singforhope piano there as well! From ladybugs to elephants, the piano will be covered with creatures whose only requirement for inclusion is that they are indigenous to the planet Earth. I want to praise these animals that we share our environment with, who grace us with mystery and beauty, and whose presence is so vital to the ecosystem. About the Artist: Born in Minnesota, I left my home state decades ago to head East, driven by a love of the arts and the desire to immerse myself in the cultural vibrancy of New York City. I currently pursue the practice of painting and drawing both in a private studio and through workshops, after studying at the Art Students League for many years.
