There is a Steinway grand (model B) in the South Lounge of the Illini Union. It needs to be tuned, but for a public piano, it's pretty nice. As long as there are no events, people are allowed to play this piano. There are also two upright pianos in the building (one in the Courtyard Cafe and one in the basement food court area).
