"Street Art Piano 4Mx Heart & Soul" is our next piano by ObaRoEne! @mr.obaroene. You'll be able to find this incredible piano in South Troy at Lots of Hope Park, which is at the corner of 2nd and Jackson. Oba! is a Nigerian American Artist, Teacher, & M.C. based in Albany. He also holds multiple Guinness World Records for Hula Hooping!🤯 In his own words, "This current project with Troy Street Pianos honors the Challenge of Finding and Following our Flow (or our Purpose) with Music as a guide along our Journey during our time on Earth. Artist Pianos is a @steinwayandsons dealer and piano store in Latham which sourced the donated pianos for this project. They're wonderful, kind humans who do so much for the piano and music community! With Artist Pianos and our partner T. Seeberger Moving Company, we were able to get the pianos we needed and have them moved safely between all the different locations. There are so many pianos out there that are no longer played, but many of them still have life in them! "Waiting To Be Heard" is the name of the piano by Troy-based artist Chloe Harrison @september_colors. You'll be able to find this incredible piano downtown outside @518craft on Monument Square starting Saturday! In Chloe's words: "Around the piano, these tiny birds are holding up envelopes. These envelopes represent the voice of their authentic selves. Mostly, they are birds above them, except for on the sides of the piano, where they are finally acknowledged. The title also has to do with the piano itself, how it'll be just a silent piano sitting outside until someone plays it. We have a BIG announcement ‼️ #troystreetpianos 🎹 are coming Saturday, April 16!! This has been a long-standing dream of ours, and we can hardly believe they're almost here! We're putting three, beautifully painted upright pianos on the streets of #troyny for ✨you✨ to play. These pianos will be located downtown outside @518craft, in South Troy at Lots of Hope Park (corner of 2nd and Jackson), and in Lansingburgh at @thesnowmantroy. They’ll be outside every day from April 16 through the fall so there will be plenty of time for those impromptu musical happenings😉🎉 These pianos have been lovingly painted by three incredible artists - @september_colors, @mr.obaroene, and @polyfluid. We've been sharing hints, so you might already know that the pianos look INCREDIBLE🔥 We’ll be sharing more about the artists, their stunning pianos, and our partners throughout the week.
