You have to get past the ticket barriers to get to it. Luckily, I got let through as a Derby College student. As others have mentioned, the piano is awful. Footfall is relatively high though, especially at peak times.

I play it whenever I'm at the station. It's VERY out of tune, with some broken keys, but it's still fun to play.
