#Commisioned by: Mundi Project & LDS Welfare Services Department to paint this piano that is located on the porch of Chase Home Museum of Folk Arts in Salt Lake City and will be donated to a family in 3 months, until then, the piano is available for public use. Enjoy. #Description of the piano: I painted lyrics of "Keep your head up" by 2Pac, "Don't stop believin'" by Journey, "One headlight" by the Wallflowers, "Higher" by Creed, "Sky's the limit" by Notorious B.I.G., "Listen to the music" by the Doobie brothers and "Dream on" by Aerosmith because those were some of the songs that I listened to while painting the piano. I listened to a conversation of survivors about their journeys of endurance and inspiration. I painted a pic of waves symbolizing how the women were riding the waves of their trials. I wrote "Dream Big" on the front of the piano with clouds on the back of the piano encouraging the pianist to aim high when dreaming and to keep playing, despite what opposition comes their way. The theme: "One good thing about music, is when it hits you, you feel no pain" by Bob Marley. #With the recent passing of my father, I picked up my paint brush every time I wanted to cry. He left his legacy behind (music & missionary work). I'm creating my own legacy too. Finishing off what I started when I was 6 years old and not stopping. #chaseporchpiano #chasemuseum #liveart #slcart #PEAU #peoplespianoproject
