Admiring the work of Lawrence Alma Tadena, who oversaw the design and creation of this unique Steinway piano which is now part of the permanent collection @clarkinstitute - I am honored to be following in his footsteps, as artist in residence at Steinway and Sons HQ in Queens, New York City, creating another masterpiece for the 21st century - this time a water scene. It’s wonderful that companies such as Steinway still work with living artists and artisans to create such beautiful works of art for the contemporary world. Notice the exquisite painting by Bourguereau of “Nymphs and satyrs” behind me.
