The REACH at the Kennedy Center

The REACH at the @kennedycenter is spectacular — and just right for entertaining a high-energy toddler: there is lots of space to roam, AWEsome art (Glenn Ligon! Alma Thomas! Sam Gilliam!), and, Thursday to Sunday, food and drinks at @victuraparkdc. Aidan’s favorite spot was the Hammersmith Lounge, named after Jacquie Kennedy’s family estate where the Kennedys married and that served for a time as a summer White House. The star of that lounge is the painted piano by @jordannwine, part of the @singforhope initiative that places pianos in public spaces for communities to engage with. Oh how Aidan LOVED it! When Paul joined us that evening, Aidan had to show it off to daddy. And all this is apart from the exhibits and free events that take place here many days.
