SWIPE ⬅️ to see the before When my husband and I got married 10 years ago - my grandmother gave me the piano my mom and Aunt grew up playing. I was very grateful, but I also wanted to paint it from the very beginning. I felt like my grandmother would be disappointed if I did so I just thought about it for years. My mother in law also said sanding it would mess up the tuning - but I found out chalk paint could help avoid having to sand. I finally decided it was time to pull the trigger. My mom said - it was probably fine if we did paint it & honestly I wanted to love the things that look at in my house every day. So I did it. 😬I did want I go with a more fun color, but I figured I𠆝 start safe & see how it feels. The rest of the photos are me trying to decide what to put above it. So any feedback is welcome - but I think I’m going with the mirror. 😘 Happy Saturday and happy snow day!! So if you are thinking about painting something sentimental - made you should go for it too! The chair here was made by my great grandfather & I also painted that.🤫.
